Swirled pink and white cloud slime in a jar

Every Slime Texture, Explained

Slime names can sound like a dessert menu. Butter? Cloud? Avalanche? Each one is a different texture, and each feels completely different in your hands. Here's a quick guide to every texture we make, so you can pick your favourite (or your next favourite).

Butter Slime

Soft, smooth and spreadable, like frosting. Butter slime has clay mixed in, which makes it thick and easy to shape. It's one of the best textures for beginners because it doesn't drip or stick much.

Try: Peach Butter, Cookies N Cream, Happy Birthday or Orange Creamsicle.

Cloud Slime

Fluffy, light and drizzly. Cloud slime is made with instant snow, so it feels soft and almost airy, and it pulls apart in slow, fluffy drips. It's our most beginner-friendly texture.

Try: Bubblegum Pop, Mint Chip Ice Cream, Over the Rainbow or Sweet Dreams.

Clear Slime

Glossy, see-through and stretchy, like glass you can play with. Clear slime is beautiful but needs a little more care: it picks up dust easily and turns cloudy if it gets lotion in it. That's why most of our clear slimes are labelled Advanced.

Try: Mermaid Magic, Under the Sea or Pineapple Paradise.

Jelly Cube Slime

Squishy cubes mixed into slime that pop and crunch as you squeeze. Jelly cube slime is wonderfully noisy and satisfying.

Try: Watermelon Sugar, Strawberry Jam or Blue Raspberry Slushie.

Floam and Microfoam Slime

Slime packed with tiny foam beads for a crunchy, bumpy texture. Floam has bigger beads; microfoam uses tiny ones for a softer crunch.

Try: Krazy Kiwi, Fruity Loops or 90's Dreaming.

Bingsu Bead Slime

Clear or thick slime filled with small, hard bingsu beads that crackle when you press it. This is the crunchiest texture we make, and a favourite for ASMR fans.

Try: Fairy Land or Cherry Blossoms.

Avalanche Slime

Two layers in one jar: a base slime with a different slime or topping on top. Leave it alone and the top slowly sinks into the bottom, like an avalanche. Mixing the layers is half the fun.

Try: Mango Bubble Tea, Holy Guacamole or Zombie Guts.

DIY Clay Slime

A slime that comes with a soft clay piece for you to knead in yourself, which changes the texture from glossy to soft and thick. It's a little slime-making experiment in a jar.

Try: Dragon Fruit Splash, Banana Coconut Smoothie or Sweet Lil' Apple.

Which Texture Should You Start With?

If you're new to slime, start with butter or cloud slime. They're the easiest to handle and the least likely to get sticky. Once you've got the hang of it, move on to jelly cube, floam and avalanche, then try clear and bingsu slimes when you're ready for a challenge. Every product is labelled Beginner, Intermediate or Advanced to help you choose.
